On an annual basis, the PNW Chapter hosts a day-long training conference that brings together professionals and experts from a diverse range of anti-fraud disciplines to provide education and networking with our regional CFE's.
Kyle Mitchum, Special Agent in Charge- FDIC-OIG
Kyle Mitchum SAC of HQ Operations at the FDIC-OIG in Arlington, VA. In this role, SAC Mitchum supervises Senior Special Agents, Forensic Accountants, a Senior Investigative Advisor, a Financial Analyst and a Criminal Research Specialist. His group provides guidance, oversight and coordination over the Office of Investigations investigative activities, ensuring adequate controls and compliance within established policies.
Brian Steverson, PhD
Dr. Brian K. Steverson is the faculty and Chair of Business Ethics in the School of Business Administration at Gonzaga University. His main areas of scholarship are business ethics, professional ethics, and the ethics of entrepreneurship. His work has appeared in Environmental Ethics, the Online Journal of Ethics, Topics in Contemporary Philosophy, the Business and Professional Ethics Journal, the Journal of Ethics & Entrepreneurship, and the Journal of Jesuit Business Education.
Martina Dove, Ph.D.
Session 1: Communication theory and how it can be exploited by fraudsters to encourage fraud compliance.
Session 2: Fraud Vulnerability Factors from social engineering to individual characteristics that lead to fraud victimization.
Joe Dervaes, CFE, ACFE Fellow, CIA
As a founding member of the ACFE PNW Chapter, Joe has had a remarkable career in the anti-fraud discipline and it is our pleasure to learn about his experiences throughout his incredible journey.
